Yes, I am completely aware of the fact that it has been almost two months since my last post. Alot has happened in that time that 100% justifies my absence. Well, in my opinion at least. Nothing serious, just time consuming. I went to Tulsa, OK and took my CPO Cert. test three weeks ago. Still waiting on the freaking test results. "Test results could take up to six weeks." Oh my freaking god. Everyone is just trying to give a girl an ulcer. I'm 99% positive I passed, it's just knowing for sure. Ya know?
Then, with much protest from me, and a fight that lasted for a whole weekend (Grant actually spent one night at his momma's house) Grant's little sister moved back in with us. She lived with us for about six months at the beginning of the year. Since Jan. 06, this girl has been fired from seven jobs for calling in sick or being late. She is almost twenty and has dropped out of high school, dropped out of alternative school twice, and missed her GED test three time because she overslept. She is a slob. I love her to death, but this girl has got to grow up. If everyone keeps up the way they are, she will never grow up. Anyways, she never pays rent or anything when she lives with us. To make a long story short, Grant kicked her out again after only about three weeks. Biggest pet peeve? The girl is constantly on my computer and online, even when she is not in front of the computer. WE ARE ON DIAL-UP PEOPLE. Thus explains part of my absence.
To top it all off this past weekend, she was supposed to bring Grant home from the high school football game Friday night. It was a playoff game about three hours away. You know how us small towns are in Okla. and Texas about HS football. Anyways, the entire town went. They wouldn't be back until almost one in the morning. Grant road with his mom and step-dad and then she was supposed to bring him home. We asked four times to make sure, because I had to work Sat. so Grant had to watch Riley at 8am and I didn't want to wake her up around 1am and drive thirty min. to go pick him up. She said she would definately bring him home. I woke up at 5:30a to Grant coming home?? He said that everytime he called at her boyfriend's house, they wouldn't let him talk to her, she was asleep. So his younger brother went over and got her car and brought it to him. It was out of gas, so then he had to wait until 5am for the station to open so he could get gas. Well, Sat. around noon, she called him wanting her car back. He asked if she had to work and she said no. He told her that it would have to wait until I got off work at 2p because he didn't have a way back or a car seat for Riley. It was in my truck. He then ask her why she didn't come get him. She tells him that no way was she going to give him a ride home after he kicked her out of his house. That was almost a month ago and SHE said it was no problem!!! So Grant gets mad and tells her to have her boyfriend bring her to get the car. After all, while she was living here, she disappeared in my uncle's Jaguar while we were asleep and let us freak out until after 3pm the next day and then we had to find a way to go pick it up when the whole reason we had the jaguar was b/c Grant's car and my truck were broke down. Bitch. So, I walk in the door after work to Grant frantically dressing Riley saying I had to follow him to Rush because his sister called the damn cops and said that he had stolen her car!!!!! WTF??? We didn't call the cops on her. Even her mom told her she was dumb. Anyways, we took the car back and nothing happened. End of story. Except that I think Grant finally realized why I flipped when he told me that her and her jobless twenty-five year-old boyfriend were moving in. Thank you. j
Anyways, I know the grammar in this post sucks and that it rambles. I just woke up after almost four hours of a dead sleep with a tummy ache and can't go back to sleep. I think it was something we ate, because I seem to remember hearing Grant getting sick about two hours after I crashed. Yucky. Well, I think I may be able to crash now though. Night night.
Not really, I have just been really worn out and working alot. Our camping trip went well but ended with a trip to the ER for Grant. He walked into the crank out window on the outside of the RV and ended up with 8 stitches. They said about 3mm more and he would have lost his eye. He's fine now though. Stitches are already gone.
Anyways, been working like a dog and getting ready for my CPO (Certified Paraoptometric Exam) on Oct. 15. Very nervous, but very generous raise in the deal. I really enjoy my job. I do. And to think I went to school for English Lit. Most of the women in my mom's family went into the medical field (mom and grandma included) and that is what Grant was going for. They always tried to talk me into it and I always protested, loudly. Go figure. But I always argue that what I do is not the same as a nurse. Soo unnh.
Yeah, this is really sporadic I know, but I haven't posted in a while and I feel the need. But I am exhausted and my brain is running on Benadryl and Lortabs right now. I had two emergency root canals this week. One Tuesday and one Thursday. I have five more schedule between now and the middle of Oct. My left front canine broke in half while I was brushing my teeth Tuesday morning before work. My teeth have always made me embarrassed. People see bad teeth and most likely they assume that problems are caused by the person having bad hygene. Not true. I have OCD and one of my compulsions is hygene. I shower twice a day typically. In the morning and at night I take a bath, soak, and then a quick shower to rinse off. I brush my teeth constantly and vigorously. I can go through a firm toothbrush in a month. And actually the doc said that was the main cause of my problems, I have worn off the protective enamel coating on my teeth. But my new dentist is my boss's best friend and he is giving me the hook up. 80% discount and bleaching my teeth for free. I'm getting about $15,000 worth of dental work for maybe $5,000. Mom is paying for it and then I am making payments to her.
Anyways, my spelling is crap tonight, which really is embarrasing considering I'm and English nut, and I can't string two sentences together for shit. So I will leave you with this, every cloud has a silver lining and ours is finally peeking though.

Back to work tomorrow. I decided not to go last night. Mom still watched Riley, but a few close friends came over and hung out. We ended up crashing around three. Grant was a sweetheart today and let me sleep in while he went to church with Mom, Dad, and Riley. Then he watched Riley when they got home and I slept till almost five. I went and did laundry and him and Dad finished working on his car. We ate dinner and came home around 9:30, took Riley straight to her crib and she crashed instantly. Then I took a shower and straightened my hair. Now I am fixing to gather my things for work and crash out. It was a relaxing day. Tomorrow after work I have to clean house. Then our four-day camping trip is this weekend. So siked. Off to bed.
Sitting at home of course. Because like every Saturday for the last few months, I have to work tomorrow. Bah. It's okay though, because then next weekend, when I have Fri, Sat, Sun, AND Mon. off, I WILL HAVE FUCKING EARNED IT!!! I so cannot wait. I got paid yesterday and Riley stayed the night at Grant's mom's house. So, we all stayed up until about 4am. Grant had to work at 6:30 and I was almost late. Argh. Needless to say, we were both dragging some serious ass today.
Tomorrow night is a girl at work's b-day party at a bar called Scooter's. I'm really looking forward to it. It will be nice to get away from all of Grant's friends for awhile and hang out with people my own age. Don't get me wrong, his friend's are okay most of the time, but most of them are still in high school or college freshman. I'm in my mid-twenties. I feel like house mom. It sucks. I don't drink but maybe once or twice every few months. But I plan on it tomorrow night. Yup, yup.
I've spent most of the day studying for my paraoptometric exam in October. We were slow at work and all of us are taking the test, so we made flash cards for the vocab and such. Anyways, I'm going to work some more on that stuff and then crash. I want to be rested for tomorrow night and I've slept maybe 8 hrs total in the last 72. Yikes. Night.
